Meet Christiane Fuchs. She is an agricultural student and a successor of an arable farm in Germany. John Deere featured Christiane on their Instagram feed as a Deere Friend, reinforcing their focus on supporting for women in agriculture. 

Looking confidently to the future 

Christiane's mission is to produce regional and healthy food with soil-friendly and sustainable technology.

This is quite a challenge, but Christiane is realizing her vision and, despite many obstacles, is looking confidently to the future. After finishing her agricultural studies, she will devote herself to her parents' farm and continue to drive sustainability for tomorrow.

Great ideas and dedication

John Deere says Christiane "is a real doer with great ideas and dedication" as she shares many great insights into her everyday life on the farm on Instagram.

Christiane comments: "I'm 21 years old and live in the beautiful Rheinhessen region. Currently, I am studying agriculture at the University of Applied Sciences Triesdorf and spend every free minute helping out on our arable farm. Today I will take you with me on my daily routine. So, once again a very good morning from the car next to a field with winter onions as you can see in the background. They were planted in August last year. All in all I'm very satisfied with the condition of the winter onions. There are some differences in the growth of some onions, but that shouldn't be a problem."
