WSP engineers projects that help societies grow for lifetimes to come. WSP is a global family of more than 54,000 changemakers, 7,000 in the UK, all with the imagination to see things not as they are, but as they could be. WSP is at the heart of transformative thinking and sets a new agenda for a smarter, greener future that includes everyone. And its engineers are key to this agenda.
Supporting early engineering careers, WSP offers both degree and advanced apprenticeships and recently hosted a roundtable addressing STEM education, apprenticeships and engineering careers. The roundtable was hosted by WSP Managing Director Paul Reilly, and chaired by WSP Head of Economics Jim Coleman, and included insight from two WSP apprentices and also EngineeringUK which is a not-for-profit organisation that's passionate about inspiring the next generation of engineers and creating a diverse future workforce that enables the UK to thrive.
An apprenticeship means earning a salary while studying for nationally recognised qualifications. Apprenticeships provide an opportunity to work alongside and learn from experts who have a wide range of knowledge and experiences to share, with a programme designed to provide knowledge and skills for a successful career at WSP.
WSP understands that all apprentices are different. Therefore, WSP tailors our training and development to help achieve personal goals. There's a supervised programme of in-company training and college teaching.
