“In my group in particular we are about 45 people. I was always joking that we only miss Japan in our collection of countries, but now we have a japanese student aswell!” says Dr. Claudia Mazza, a Lecturer in the Department of Mechanical Engineering.

Inspiring a new generation

The University of Sheffield is well known for its engineering leadership - and they actively promote the need for more girls to undertake science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) studies via various events throughout the year.
