Zoe started her Entain career six years ago as a Bingo Operations Manager. Intentionally, Zoe always made sure that she was immersing herself in the whole company by learning a lot about every area she worked in and by ensuring that her direct line manager was always made aware of her ambition. This approach, Zoe believes, supported her greatly in securing her current senior position as Director of Customer Service. 

Zoe's work actively contributes to Entain's overall context and goals. "I often say that I work behind the curtain, but it’s where the real magic happens," explains Zoe. "My role ensures that our tools, platforms, knowledge, and governance empower every agent to shine and every customer to feel seen. If we are doing it right, our work is seamless for the customer and scalable for the business. We are the glue that keeps global customer experience.consistent, efficient, and ready for whatever is next."

Always challenging one's comfort zone

Zoe holds a mix of curiosity, persistence, and a refusal to stay in any comfort zone for too long. "I always said 'Yes' to the scary stuff like the new roles, different markets, innovative technology and to working with new teams. I have always believed in learning fast, lifting others as you climb and making change less scary and more human. And, as it turns out, that formula as always worked for me so far."

I started on the front lines by answering chats, emails, and calls, in fact, all at the same time back in my earlier days. What excites Zoe most about her role at Entain is the people-focus. 

"Being part of a business that doesn’t just say that it is customer-first, but proves it through its technology, people, and purpose is key. And frankly, where else can you shape global customer experience while still being encouraged to bring your whole self to work, sparkly trainers and all?" says Zoe. 

Key qualities working in a Customer Service focused role at Entain

When asked about some of the most valued qualities and skills for working at Entain, Zoe suggests that "Resilience, empathy, and the ability to stay positive are key - even when things aren’t going the way you want them to." 

Laughter with colleagues and good team work are also fundamental suggests Zoe, especially if faced with challenging times. "You need a curious mind, a customer-obsessed heart, and the flexibility of a yoga instructor because no two days are ever the same," says Zoe. "Plus, a genuine passion for solving problems is key." 

Zoe shares a piece of inspirational advice that she likes to apply: 'Be so good they can’t ignore you' by Steve Martin. "Never underestimate the power of being kind, even in the chaos. People remember how you made them feel, not how slick your slide deck was," reminds Zoe. 

Having many voices at the table is certainly beneficial

When asked about her advice for further women considering applying for a role at Entain, Zoe has some clear and positive encouragement. "Do it. Don’t wait to feel that you're ready, as you probably already are ready," says Zoe. "At Entain, it’s not about ticking every box. It’s about bringing your perspective, energy, and ambition. We need more voices at the table, and if you can’t find a seat, then pull up a folding chair. Trust me, you won’t regret it." 

Zoe suggests that working for Entain means that you do not have to fit a specific mould to lead, thrive, or belong at the company. "Some of the best ideas come from the edges, not the centre," afforms Zoe. "Bring your quirks, your drive, and your full self. We’ll make room." 

Celebrating life and its many wins

When Zoe is not working, she tends to spend her time enjoying the great outdoors. "Sunshine, sea air, and spontaneous trips are my kind of therapy," says Zoe. "I’m big on wellness, and I'm still chasing that elusive much-needed core strength from exercising. I'm a bit of a skincare enthusiast, and I’ll never say no to a glass of something bubbly with good company. Life is too short not to celebrate the little wins."
