It's a great time to become an Amazon apprentice!

With the announcement of 170 new apprenticeship opportunities being launched in fulfillment centres across the UK, now is a very exciting time to embark on an exciting career path with Amazon.

Ranging from Operations Fulfilment to Engineering & Facilities to IT, Amazon is the perfect place to start your career with a range of apprenticeship opportunities to suit different candidates with different backgrounds, qualifications and career aspirations. These teams are crucial to ensuring Amazon continues to deliver and innovate for its customers.

Amazon has ambitious plans and wants to continue to deliver and retain the best talent. Its apprenticeship schemes are aimed at people who have a passion for learning new skills and who want to start their career now – possibly as an alternative to College or University. You will need to be ambitious, relish a challenge and be prepared to seize the opportunities given to you. Hard work is essential, as is a determination to succeed and make the most of the hands on experience and qualifications on offer to you.

Operational future - team leader apprenticeships

Join Amazon on its operational future Team Leader Apprenticeship scheme and you’ll build your skills, including both classroom based training and Amazon’s on-the-job training, and delivered by its teams on site in its Fulfilment Centers. During your first year you will be introduced to the fundamental operational excellence modules. You’ll then have an opportunity to do a second year to continue to expand on your knowledge, leading and managing people. You will work towards a Level 2 Business Improvement Techniques and a Level 3 Team Leader/Supervisor.

Engineering - mechatronics advanced apprenticeship

Join Amazon as an Advanced Apprentice and you’ll combine college-based learning with hands-on training. During your first year you will be based at a technical training centre on a residential basis, learning the engineering basics that you will need in your role. Outside of college term times you’ll enrich your studies by working alongside members of Amazon's skilled workforce in one of Amazon's fulfillment centres. During years 2,3 and 4 of the apprenticeship you will build your skills working in a fulfilment centre as well as continuing your academic studies either on day or block release. You will achieve an Advanced Apprenticeship in Mechatronics Maintenance as well as an engineering HNC.

Engineering - controls specialist apprenticeship

Join Amazon as a Controls Specialist Apprentice and you’ll combine studying for a degree with hands-on practical training in both general engineering basics as well as PLC controls specialisms. The first year of your apprenticeship you will gain hands-on practical training on a residential basis at Trafford College, where you will also begin to study towards a HNC in Controls and Automation. In years 2 and 3 you will complete a HND and undertake a series of work placements. In year 4 of your apprenticeship you will work in one of Amazon's fulfilment centers and complete your BEng degree on a block release basis at the University of Salford.

IT apprenticeships

Join Amazon as an IT Apprentice and you’ll build your skills over a 36 month period, including both classroom based training hosted offsite and complimented with Amazon’s on-the-job IT staff training program, delivered by its specialist teams on site in its Fulfilment Centers. You will be working with systems and technology focused on delivering the highest service and delighting Amazon's end customer. During your first year you will be introduced to the fundamental technical skills you need to become a successful Amazon IT employee working towards a level 3 Infrastructure technician and year two a Level 4 Network engineer (equivalent to first year of degree study) Plus, after graduating from an apprenticeship programme , you’ll be fully qualified to apply to join Amazon's team permanently in any of a number of different roles as you embark on a challenging and exciting career.
