Nottingham Trent University (NTU) hosted Minister of State for Universities and UK Member of Parliament Michelle Donelan for a discussion on Higher Technical Qualifications, life long learning, and the importance of the relationship between universities, their local colleges, employers and businesses.
Through her work as an MP, Michelle is driven to knock down barriers, open doors and create opportunities for all, particularly through access to good education and tackling the skill's gap.
Supporting student wellbeing and skills development
Michelle Donelan's visit to the University provided an engaging opportunity to discuss how students had been managing their studies and wellbeing over the past year, and the support they had received from NTU.
The University's support for its students earned NTU recognition recognition as one of a Universities UK case study and highlighted the steps that NTU took to prioritise its students' wellbeing, transition to higher education, and academic skills development.
