Diageo has welcomed Colombian singer-songwriter Karol G into the Diageo family as its new Smirnoff ambassador for North America, Latin America, the Caribbean, and Spain.

Karol G's work will center on the importance of self-empowerment and the celebration of Latin Culture in North America.

Karol G is predominantly described as a reggaeton and Latin trap artist. She has also has experimented with a variety of further genres.

Karol G is noted for her prominent female presence in the reggaeton scene and in 2018 won the Latin Grammy Award for Best New Artist and has been nominated for several Billboard Latin Music Awards and Premios Lo Nuestro awards.
