Diageo has elevated Louise Prashad, to the position of chief human resources officer.
Louise reports to Diageo's CEO, Ivan Menezes, and is part of the Diageo Executive Committee.
Louise has been with Diageo for 20 years, serving in different roles, such as talent director for the Africa region, HR director for global functions, HR director for West LAC, followed by HR director for Europe. Louise's first post at Diageo was that of talent manager and business partner, global supply (Beer & RTD) from 2001 to 2003.
Since 2016, Louise has been Diageo’s global talent director with duties extending across learning and development, talent acquisition, inclusion and diversity, and business partnering with global functions.
Louise replaces Mairead Nayager as CHRO, who has been with Diageo since October 2017. Mairead was the HR director for the western Europe region, based out of the London office for ten months before she was elevated to the position of CHRO at Diageo.
A strong advocate for women's advancement
In a previous video, Louise candidly stated: "There is no role in our organization that isn't open and isn't considered for women - both for women to think about it, and for us as a business to think about how we ensure women succeed in those roles."
