WTW Communications Assistant, Destiny Onu discusses internship

WTW interns have many opportunities to go into an exciting role. Take for example, Business Support & Communications Assistant, Destiny Onu, who shares her journey and explains the ways the ways she has developed, and why this was the best career choice for her.

Choosing WTW for an internship

Destiny joined WTW as a graduate and since then has worked in the investment side of the business. She currently works as a Communications Administrator.

"I decided to intern at WTW to gain more exposure in the investment industry and to see if this was potentially somewhere where I wanted to grow and learn and start my career," says Destiny.

Development opportunities at WTW

Destiny explains that her time with WTW has provided great challenges at all stages.

"Whether it be learning how to utilise new software, engaging with various groups of people, or simply learning my work style - all of these various things have been very crucial to my development" comments Destiny.

"I would definitely say I've been able to improve my skills, and improve my character professionally and individually," adds Destiny.

Destiny's advice for future interns

"My one piece of advice to you would be not to shy away from a challenge. In coming into an internship, the aim is not to be perfect. The aim, in my opinion, is to show your potential and show your willingness to learn," concludes Destiny.
