AECOM's Graduate Programme UK & Ireland (Environment)

From air quality, ecology, and remediation to geospatial and data, carbon capture and environmental permitting, AECOM graduates understand the complex interactions between environmental issues that communities face.

Working on a wide range of environmental aspects

AECOM graduates have been working on the Mersey Gateway, monitoring the surrounding ecology and environment, as well as soil remediation and materials re-use.

Graduates have participated in environmental assessments for Affinity Water, Severn Trent water, and Anglican Water, including aquatic ecology monitoring, water quality monitoring and modelling, and hydrological and hydraulic modelling.

Graduates have also assisted with acoustic modelling and auralisation of the proposed A303 Stonehenge road routing change to protect the amenity of this historic monument.

Graduates have worked with BP Net Zero Teeside, helping to deliver UK strategic infrastructure to decarbonise the UK.

Graduates have helped conduct advanced bat surveys using radio tracking, infra-red and thermal imaging cameras to carry out exit counts and accurately assess each roost.

Graduates have also been involved with the Natural Capital Laboratory that was set up by AECOM and the Lifescape Project as a live environment for identifying, quantifying and valuing the impacts of re-wilding.
