Colt Technology Services and Ignite Hubs hosted an exclusive launch event for Virtual Combat, a STEM-focused book penned by award-winning author Tamsin Winter.
Bringing STEM careers to life
Taking place at Colt's London office, this inspiring event provided a great opportunity for networking and championing STEM through storytelling. The event also saw an address by Colt CEO Keri Gilder and Ignite Hubs CEO Lin Vong, along with a reading by author Tamsin Winter.
"Our books bring STEM careers to life, helping young readers to discover exciting careers and imagine new possibilities," commented Ignite Hubs, a volunteer-run charity for children and young people that pioneers innovative and exciting ways for children and young people to learn, develop and progress. The charity's mission is to nurture and enrich young minds and equip them with the tools and skills to lead a life with purpose and success.
"I had the honour to write the preface for this wonderful book and believe we need to promote STEM careers even with the advance of AI," commented Keri Gilder.
"This is such an exciting piece of work with Ignite Hubs. I'm really proud of the Colties who've led this work with the author Tamsin Winter, championing the future of STEM," added Colt Head of Inclusion & Diversity, Rachel Collins.
