Director of Data Science at 84.51°, Jillian Payne shared her experience and insight as part of a Miami University Alumni panel at Mercantile Library in Cincinnati, U.S. 

She shared how and why data storytelling might be a lifeline for those who feel like they are drowning in data.

Jillian graduated from Miami University in 2009 with a degree in marketing and decision sciences. In her junior year at Miami, she fell in love with data, programming and the stories she could tell by leveraging data and programming. The summer between her junior and senior year, she joined 84.51° (then dunnhumby) as an intern and has remained with the company to date, currently serving as vice president, data science talent.
