QBE European Operations Cyber Security Specialist Alice Hendy has won Unsung Hero of the Year Award at Women in Insurance Awards, selected from a shortlist of nine.

Making a positive impact through her cyber security career

Highly experienced in designing and implementing successful cyber awareness and education programmes, Alice consistently delivers outstanding results including the reduction of phishing susceptibility, colleague training modules, brand engagement, high profile global campaigns, events management, ambassador programmes and global marketing communications.

Through utilising her communications skills whilst working in senior managerial positions at large, international corporations, Alice has developed admirable working relationships across the cyber industry, to include the Metropolitan Police, FBI, Microsoft, Deloitte, GCHQ, NCSC, PwC, KPMG, Hong Kong Police Department and many more within her advantageous professional network.

Alice is also the founder of Ripple Suicide Prevention, an online interceptive tool designed to ensure more help and support is provided to individuals who are conducting searches relating to self-harm or suicide. 

Alice has previously won the Banking or Financial Services Team of the Year Award at the Cyber Security Awards, and was a finalist for Computing Product of the Year Awards and Security Excellence Awards.
