Colt strives to transform the way the world works through the power of connectivity.

Meet Colt's Zohra Nathoo, a Senior IT Architect who shares her inspirations and discusses working as a woman in tech.

Inspired by women pursuing their dreams

"My inspiration comes from women I know that have real entrepreneurial spirit, they have sacrificed everything to pursue a dream, they're very resilient, they're very brave," comments Zohra.

Increasing focus on women in tech

For Zohra, the attitude to women in tech throughout her career has been quite a rollercoaster.

"There are some companies that are very inclusive, but then you work in other companies where there aren't that many women in tech," says Zohra.

"But I think what we're seeing now is a lot of focus on women in tech, and I'm glad to see that taking a more formal shape now," she adds.

Inspired by brave and resilient women

Zohra's inspirations come from women who she knows, and who have a real entrepreneurial spirit.

"They have sacrificed everything to pursue a dream, they're very resilient, they're very brave," she says.

"Hopefully I inspire my children by showing them that it's OK to fail, but you have to bounce back," explains Zohra.

Resilience is key

Zohra's suggests that young women starting out in tech need to ensure that they love what they do.

"For a young woman starting out in tech, I would say to make sure you enjoy what you do. There will be challenges, there will be people that you will need to change your approach with, but you have to be resilient, and you have to love what you do," concludes Zohra.
