As part of Black History Month celebrations, WSP welcomed guest speaker Kelechi Okafor, author, activist, and host of the popular Say Your Mind podcast.
Kelechi led an inspirational discussion hosted alongside WSP colleagues and members of the company's Champion Racial Equality and Ethnic Diversity (CREED) network.
Showcasing diverse workforce and allies
WSP Associate Director Najwa Jawahar is Chair of CREED, and was involved in the event.

Based in London with a degree in Civil and Structural Engineering, Najwa is a multi-award winning qualified chartered structural engineer in property and buildings.
An Associate Director at WSP, as well as a STEM ambassador, mentor and public speaker, Najwa describes herself as passionate, enthusiastic and creative.
Najwa is committed to bringing the best out of business to the benefit of WSP clients and community by delivering high-quality consultancy services.
Inspiring the next generation, Najwa takes part in activities, workshops, speaking gigs to help the next generation realize their potential. Najwa enjoys sharing her story and life experience through words to inspire and motivate others like her, particularly mentoring young engineers.
One of Najwa's favourite quotes is: "If ones understanding of the design language is limited, then the range of possible solutions to a problem will also be limited."
