At Entain, women are encouraged to pursue their interests and ambitions alongside their careers - cheered on every step of the way by Entain and colleagues.

Entain Chief Marketing Officer, Charlotte Emery, is training for the ride of her life in the renowned Markel Magnolia Cup at Goodwood Races, demonstrating the kind of resilience that defines the culture at Entain

Charlotte previously worked at William Hill, starting as Global Marketing Director and later becoming Chief Brand Officer, helping to transform the company’s consumer and brand strategy.

Riding alongside leading women in business

Maximising the energy of Ladies’ Day at Qatar Goodwood Festival, Markel Magnolia Cup sees leading women of business, sport, fashion, and media take part in one of the most exciting horse racing events in the world.

While none of the riders are professional jockeys, their resilience and determination helps change the perceptions of women in sport.

Preparation for the Magnolia Cup takes months, with the riders following an intense training and riding regime in order to be ready to race down the Glorious Goodwood straight.

Raising money for women-focused charity

Money raised by the Markel Magnolia Cup will go to Project Lehar, an initiative of event charity partner The King’s Trust International.

Project Lehar supports young women to attain self-reliance and economic empowerment through vocational training, skills development and promoting gender equality within their communities.

Project Lehar takes a holistic approach, offering a series of complementary learning modules that help girls enhance their earning potential, build self-confidence, and plan for a brighter future. Operating in the Indian states of Bihar and Uttar Pradesh, Project Lehar addresses significant challenges many girls face, including social and gender barriers, that often lead to school dropouts. Project Lehar aims to break the cycle of unemployment by equipping young women and girls with the skills and opportunities to pursue new paths to prosperity, ultimately creating a lasting impact within their communities. Project Lehar works on building the capacity of young girls and women to support their education, health and wellbeing, and empowers them through vocational training and support to enable them to earn viable incomes.

The King’s Trust International exists to tackle the global crisis of youth unemployment. Founded by His Majesty King Charles III, the charity tackles the global crisis of youth unemployment and has been supporting young people worldwide since 2015. The King’s Trust International is committed to amplifying the voices of young people on the global stage and putting their needs at the very heart of the design and delivery of its work. This complements global efforts to deliver the Sustainable Development Goals, particularly those relating to quality education and decent work. The charity's mission is to empower young people to learn, earn and thrive, providing opportunities to develop the skills and confidence to succeed and deliver tangible employment outcomes. The King’s Trust International blends its expertise with a global network of local partners and develop programmes and interventions to help young people build their own futures.
