F5 CEO makes pledge on diversity and inclusion via great campaign

F5 CEO François Locoh-Donou has pledged to act on supporting an inclusive workplace for millions of their employees, communities and society at large as part of a campaign, CEO Action for Diversity & Inclusion

"Research shows that diversity increases creativity and innovation, promotes higher quality decisions, and enhances economic growth. Simply put, organisations with diverse teams perform better. Collective action on diversity from the business community matters more than ever," outlines the campaign.

Committed to diversity and inclusion in the workplace

The CEO Action for Diversity & Inclusion is the largest CEO-driven business commitment to advance diversity and inclusion within the workplace. Working with more than 500 CEOs of the world’s leading companies and business organisations, this commitment is driven by a realization that change starts with CEOs like F5's François. As leaders of some of America’s largest corporations, these CEOs manage thousands of employees and play a critical role in ensuring that inclusion is core to their workplace culture and that their businesses are representative of the communities they serve.

Making the pledge

The campaign also outlines a specific set of actions that companies like F5 will take to cultivate a trusting environment where all ideas are welcomed and employees feel comfortable and empowered to discuss diversity and inclusion.

These actions include making workplaces trusting places to have complex, and sometimes difficult, conversations about diversity and inclusion through creating environments, platforms and forums where people feel comfortable reaching out to their colleagues to gain greater awareness of each other's experiences and perspectives; implementing and expanding unconscious bias education by helping employees recognise and minimise their blind spots; and sharing already successful programs and initiatives around diversity and inclusion to help other companies enhance their current diversity strategies.

"Let’s come together to make good on the inherent promise that all of our people should be able to bring their best selves to work and unleash their full potential," says The CEO Action for Diversity & Inclusion campaign. "By working together toward diversity and inclusion within our workplaces, industries, and broader business community, we can cultivate meaningful change for our society."
