Northrop Grumman is proud to be a sponsor of the largest gathering of women engineers across all major engineering disciplines, The Society of Women Engineers (SWE) conference.
"Engineers touch virtually everything we do at Northrop Grumman. From designing equipment that protects our men and women in uniform, to combating the next cyber threat, engineers are vital to our mission," says Northrop Grumman.
Empowering women engineers
The Society of Women Engineers (SWE) is a global not-for-profit educational and service organization. SWE is the driving force that establishes engineering as a highly desirable career aspiration for women. SWE empowers women to succeed and advance in those aspirations and be recognized for their life-changing contributions and achievements as engineers and leaders. For more than six decades, SWE has given women engineers a unique place and voice within the engineering industry.
SWE's mission is to stimulate women to achieve full potential in their careers as engineers and leaders, to expand the image of the engineering profession as a positive force in improving the quality of life, and demonstrate the value of diversity.

Breaking boundaries
SWE's conference is the largest conference and career fair for women engineers, providing the opportunity to network with like-minded individuals, engage in professional development and connect with organizations and institutions looking for engineering job applicants at all career stages. SWE's conference is expected to draw more than 12,000 women in engineering and technology. The conference will feature more than 300 educational sessions and 300 carer fair exhibitors, including Northrop Grumman.
The conference's theme 'Let’s Break Boundaries' is rooted in the notion that all women engineers, young and old, veterans, those in the early stages of their career, and engineers still pursuing their collegiate degree, are breaking boundaries both personally and for women across the globe.
The conference itself breaks boundaries by being the largest gathering of women engineers across all major engineering disciples. Facing challenges and breaking through barriers is something SWE has done since its inception in 1950.
Proud sponsors
Northrop Grumman will be hosting sessions at SWE to inspire women engineers. These include two sessions led by Vice Presidents of Northrop Grumman, Susan Bruce and Milou Carolan: 'Lessons Learned on the Way to the Corner Office' and 'Empowering Women in Engineering and Technology'.
Northrop Grumman has also sponsored SWE's Women Defining the Future Luncheon and has a stall at the Career Fair where Northrop Grumman representatives will be hosting interviews. So, if you are looking for a career in engineering with one of the most progressive global companies, be sure to check out Northrop Grumman's stall at SWE.
