Duke Energy appoints Schneider Electric leader to its board

Annette Clayton, CEO and president of North America Operations for Schneider Electric, has been appointed to Duke Energy's board of directors. Duke Energy is is one of the largest energy holding companies in the U.S.

An impressive career at Schneider Electric

Annette is one of the most senior female execs in the energy industry. At Schneider Electric, she is also the global Chief Supply Chair Officer and a member of the executive committee. She has also held other impressive leadership positions at Schneider Electric: as Executive Vice President in Hong Kong Kong and head of sales and operations in India.

Annette is also a member of the board of directors of Polaris Industries and is an executive advisory board member for SCM World.

A range of leadership roles

Before Schneider Electric, Annette has had an exciting career in a further range of senior positions. Annette has held the role of Vice President of global supply chain operations and Vice President of America operations at Dell; and she was President of General Motors's Saturn subsidiary, Corporate Vice President of global quality, a member of General Motor's strategy board and Plant Manager at a General Motor's truck manufacturing facility.
