The number 13 is lucky for some – as Honeywell has been selected as one of the World’s Most Admired Companies by Fortune magazine for the 13th consecutive year.

The company is top of the ranks for the electronics industry in the list, with a really impressive overall score of 7.17, up from 7.13 in 2018.

A sparkling reputation within electronics

Within the electronics industry, Honeywell received first place rankings in reputation attributes for use of corporate assets, social responsibility, quality of management, financial soundness and long-term investment.

In addition, Honeywell reached second place in innovation, people management, quality of products/services and global competitiveness.

Fortune has published the list as a “definitive report card on corporate reputations” since 1983. Companies that appear on the list are selected from among 1,500 global businesses.

To compile the list, executives, directors and analysts are asked to rate companies in their own industry based on nine criteria, from investment value and quality of management and products to social responsibility and ability to attract talent. A company’s score must rank in the top half of its industry survey to be listed.
