An award-winning female apprentice
One apprentice is Melissa Lee who won an award at BESA North West annual awards ceremony at the Crowne Plaza in Manchester. She collected a trophy for Heating and Ventilation Apprentice of the Year.
Melissa is an apprentice fabricator welder with Exyte.
Melissa is a graduate of the Engineering Young Talent Programme (EYTP) that Exyte runs with several local schools and colleges where Exyte employees attend school careers fairs and promote STEM subjects with local students.
Exyte's EYTP also provides pupils with essential practical experience by working on real-life engineering projects and gives them a greater understanding of career opportunities within the engineering industry.
Melissa has garnered much praise from colleagues throughout the business and was also picked to be a subject for the Citizens of Manchester promotional campaign.
