About the Returnship opportunity

This Returnship will enable you to build your confidence on your return to work while progressing your skills in an exciting role. It's a 6 month programme beginning in September 2019 and you’ll be assigned with a mentor throughout your Returnship while also receiving development relating to leadership skills as well as on the job training.

The role is positioned in the International Supply Centre (ISC) Engineering team providing Capital Project support to Cameronbridge Distillery, Leven Spirit Supply, Leven Packaging and our Central Sites or Malt Distilling. The overall purpose of this team is to deliver the strategy for asset development and includes:

  • using specialist knowledge to deliver capital expenditure projects to the correct technical specification.
  • managing efficient spend for capital expenditure projects.
  • co-ordinating and managing external resources.

Diageo is looking for people with character: motivated, resilient and open-minded. You’ll have previous experience as an Electrical or Mechanical Engineer who has developed within your area of expertise by attaining qualifications and / or specialist skills. You’ll have previous experience in project management and you'll also have health and safety experience (e.g. a qualification in NEBOSH). You’ll be good at relationship building, have excellent communication skills and be an effective communicator.
