Schneider Electric has scooped second place for The Best Engineering Employer in the School Leaver Awards and also reached a high position in the Top 100 for the ways in which it supports school leavers. These awards were decided by the opinions of apprentices and school leaver trainees from 100 UK organisations, through surveys analysing everything about their employers and programmes.
Schneider Electric tweeted: "We are proud to announce we achieved 2nd place for 'The Best Engineering Employer' and 25th in the Top 100 for our School Leavers Programme!"
A top company for kick-starting school leavers' careers
The Top 100 Employers and Top 80 Training Providers, part of the School Leaver Awards, is based entirely on the opinions of apprentices and school leaver trainees from 100 UK organisations. Apprentices completed surveys analysing everything about their employers and training programmes, from skills development and career progression to training and company culture. Organisers also used the surveys to rank individual categories – Intermediate, Advanced, Higher, and Degree Apprenticeships, and school leaver programmes – as well as industry-specific categories acknowledging the top employers in their particular fields.
A handful of categories were ranked by two judging panels, lending their expertise to specific issues. School Leaver of the Year, Best Recruitment Campaign, Best School Engagement, Most Innovative Recruitment Campaign and The Diversity & Inclusion Award were decided by an independent industry panel. A student panel judged the Best Website and Best Social Media categories.
