Diageo Managing Director of African Emerging Markets Hina Nagarajan was honoured at the WeQual Awards, which identifies and recognises world-class female executives and leaders around the world acting as mentors and ambassadors for diversity and inclusion.
Further official recognition
This isn't the first time Hina has been commended for her work. She has also been recognised on Cranfield University School of Management's prestigious Women to Watch list that showcases a wide range of women available for, and ideally suited to, board positions on FTSE 350 companies now or in the near future.
She has also been recognised in INvolve EMpower Ethnic Minority Role Model Lists for her efforts to champion inclusivity of ethnic minorities within Diageo and beyond.
"Diageo is an absolute leader in this space and I am proud to be part of its ongoing commitment to equalising the workplace. This is the perfect place for me to not only grow and achieve my ambitions, but to also grow many more talented people from ethnic minorities along the way," said Hina.
“Having women from different backgrounds in leadership roles not only creates the inspiration for the next generation, but also brings true representation of the consumer group any business must address," she adds. "For me, having a diversity of backgrounds and of course, gender balance, will ensure a culture where everyone can do their best and enhance the winning potential of any organisation through powerful ideas and solutions.”
