F5 employees support women in tech at Grace Hopper Celebration

 October 06, 2019

F5 states is proud to champion women in tech and to make steps towards diversifying an industry that needs unique perspectives to create and innovate.

Which is why F5 supported AnitaB.org's Grace Hopper Celebration in Orlando, an event aimed at improving diversity and inclusion in the tech industry.

Supporting the careers of women in tech

The Grace Hopper Celebration is held in partnership with AnitaB.org, a non-profit social enterprise that envisions a future where the people who imagine and build technology mirror the people and societies for which they build it. The event aims to encourage women’s participation in technology by growing community; strengthening collective, diverse voices; fostering inclusion and inspiring action.

It also celebrates the positive impact and achievements of women at all career levels; to support women in networking with peers, allies and mentors and help each other in their careers; give women and allies technical and career skills through different sessions and foster curiosity and action at all levels of experience.

A history of Hopperx1 events

F5 Networks has a history of being involved in other Grace Hopper events. The company sponsored the Hopperx1 conference in Seattle, plus Archita Mandal, Manager of Technical Communications at F5 Networks, led an inspiring talk at the Grace Hopper Celebration, a large-scale networking and careers event that aims to shatter the perception about women technologists and to encourage diversity in the industry. F5 was a gold sponsor at the event which attracts many thousands of women technologists each year and is the largest event of its kind.

F5 also extended its global reach as a sponsor of the Hopperx1 initiative in Hyderabad in India.
