Schneider Electric recognised for sustainable development efforts

Prime employer Schneider Electric is well known for its commitment to environment and sustainability efforts. In recognition of its work in these areas, the company's India operations have received 'Honourable Mention' by the Indian government.

The accolade was given to Schneider Electric at the National Corporate Social Responsiblity (CSR) Award Ceremony which celebrates the activities undertaken by private and the public sector companies.

Making a difference to lives and communities 

"[We are] proud to share that Schneider Electric India has received an Honourable Mention by the government of India at the National CSR Award Ceremony for our contributions to sustainable development and the environment," said Schneider Electric CEO Jean-Pascal Tricoire.

"Through our Schneider A2E (Access to Energy) program in India, we have helped bring access to electricity to off-grid villages, impacting the lives of more than 180,000 beneficiaries."
