Capgemini Managing Consultant and Engagement Manager, Marion Chadail, shares insight into her career journey so far and her exciting move from Paris to the UK.

"I joined Capgemini in Paris in 2010, after a short experience as an SAP Business Analyst in a smaller organisation. It was a long time ago but I can still vividly recall my impressions from that time, and I have to say that I felt a bit overwhelmed at first. The reason for this was that I had so much to learn and being a Capgemini consultant is demanding," says Marion.

"But that didn’t last long, and as I went from one project to another, from public sector to manufacturing and global banking, I started building my own network and meeting the fantastic people that make up who we are. I soon learned that I could count on even the most senior people to support me, challenge me and teach me what they had learned from their own experiences. This helped me progress from Consultant to Senior Consultant and now Managing Consultant and now I have the chance to give some of it back to my team."

Moving countries for a new Capgemini challenge

Marion was one of the first to apply for the Capgemini secondment scheme and transferred to the Future of Technology team in London on a 2-year contract. However, she liked it so much that she decided to stay and she is now Engagement Manager on one of Capgemini's biggest insurance accounts.

"I have the chance to interact with CxO-level clients and stakeholders every day. As trusted partners, we deliver both advisory work (from Digital IT Strategy to Cloud transformation and Security strategy) and cutting-edge technical work that leverages the strong capabilities of Capgemini Group. This also gives us the opportunity to travel across Europe," adds Marion.

"Finally, I am also very much involved in the transformation journey we have recently started as we became Capgemini Invent. I strongly support the development of our digital delivery capability within the Future of Technology team by making sure we attract, retain and develop the best talents.

"To conclude on a more personal note, I am the very happy mum of a very active toddler and have to say that juggling parenthood and a demanding career at Capgemini can be quite challenging at times, but I wouldn’t have it any other way."
