Celebrations are in store for prime employer Medtronic after the company received a perfect score of 100 in the Human Rights Campaign Foundation (HRC) Corporate Equality Index. The company's score means it is one of a selection of organizations to be named as a Best Place to Work for LGBTQ Equality.

Rating workplaces on LGBTQ equality

Human Rights Campaign Foundation’s Corporate Equality Index is the national benchmarking tool on corporate policies and practices pertinent to lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and queer employees.

In the CEI report, 686 major businesses — spanning nearly every industry and geography — earned a top score of 100 and the distinction of Best Places to Work for LGBTQ Equality.
