Diageo earns further recognition supporting working mothers

For the 12th consecutive year, Diageo North America has been recognized by Working Mother as a Working Mother 100 Best Companies for its strong leadership in creating progressive programs that support career development.

Diageo has also demonstrated progress in offering paid parental leave and opportunities to return to work gradually, as well as family-friendly benefits and opportunities for women to advance.

An ambitious global parental leave

Diageo's offers 26 weeks fully paid maternity leave and sets a global minimum standard for fully paid paternity leave.

Diageo's policy helps employees focus on the joy of raising a young family, while continuing to thrive at work.

Further recognition for Diageo

In 2020, Diageo was also recognized as one of the Best Companies for Multicultural Women.

Working Mother specifically highlighted Diageo's three-day onboarding experience that emphasizes unconscious bias training where between 60 and 90 employees go through the training at a time, and employee-resource groups are key presenters Diageo's nine active business resource groups were also commended.

Working Mother found that Multicultural Women made up 12 per cent of Diageo North America's workforce and make up 16 per cent of management positions.

The company CEO also holds leaders accountable for advancing diversity and inclusion.
