Medtronic rates highly for its Latinx representation

 September 30, 2020

Medtronic has received two 5-star ratings on the Hispanic Association on Corporate Responsibility (HACR) Corporate Inclusion Index during Hispanic Heritage Month.

This recognition reflects Medtronic's commitment to growing Latinx representation throughout the company.

Advancing inclusion of Hispanics in corporate America

Founded in 1986, HACR's mission is to advance the inclusion of Hispanics in Corporate America at a level commensurate with our economic contributions.

HACR's Corporate Inclusion Index is a comprehensive survey that evaluates Hispanic inclusion in Corporate America.

The survey began in 2009 and is led by the HACR Research Institute. Researchers use the index to measure the success of Hispanic inclusion strategies in the areas of Employment, Procurement, Philanthropy, and Governance.

Creating a workplace culture of inclusion

One way Medtronic advances its culture of Latinx inclusion is through its Medtronic Hispanic Latino Network, an internal resource group that focuses on recruitment, engagement, retention and development for employees of Hispanic Latino descent.

“We thank all of the companies who participated in this year’s survey for your commitment to Hispanic inclusion by measurement and accountability," says Cid Wilson, President and CEO of HACR.
