Work Unleashed with Schneider Electrics Elizabeth Hackenson

'Work Unleashed' with Schneider Electric's Elizabeth Hackenson

 November 16, 2020

Elizabeth Hackenson, Chief Information Officer at Schneider Electric, has featured in Box's Welcome to Work Unleashed series where pioneering business and IT leaders share best practices for supporting employees in a new era of remote working.

As Schneider Electric CIO, Elizabeth is responsible for global and local systems, infrastructure, securing Schneider Electric's network, securing employees, and employee experience.

Throughout her career, Elizabeth has broken down many barriers, especially for women. She has also had the opportunity to work with amazing people while traveling the world and learning about local cultures. All this, she believes, has made her a better person a better leader.

In conversation with Box's Corporate CIO Anisha Vaswani, Elizabeth shares how her team has empowered 135,000 employees across the world to continue to do their best work throughout the COVID-19 pandemic.

“We have this incredible spirit of innovation in our DNA,” says Elizabeth, “and we constantly challenge ourselves to rethink the future.”

This culture of innovation and focus on digital transformation helped Schneider Electric shift almost instantly to a remote working model in response to COVID-19.

“What’s really important is not necessarily where you work from, but are you getting the job done — and how can we support you with technology?” she adds.
