If you want to work at the forefront of healthcare innovation and medical technology, then a medtech career at Medtronic is an excellent career choice.
Every day, Medtronic employees are developing innovative technologies and devices to find solutions to global health problems. They are truly making the impossible, possible.
Here are just some examples of the great work that women in medtech are involved in.
Developing a robotic-assisted surgery platform

Megan Rosengarten, President of Surgical Robotics at Medtronic [pictured above], is helping to create robotic technology to give surgeons unparalleled access and precision in complex spine and cranial procedures. To expand the benefits of RAS to other surgical specialties, her and her team are developing a new platform for minimally invasive surgeries that combines robotics with next-generation computing, visualization, and AI. The modular system is designed to give clinicians a new way to deliver more predictable, standardized, yet personalized patient care.
"Our new robotic-assisted surgery platform is designed to deliver the most meaningful solution for surgeons, hospitals, and the central focus of our work, patients," explains Megan.
Unfolding some of the greatest advances in medical technology
By using tools like artificial intelligence (AI), robotics, and predictive modeling, Medtronic employees are creating a bold new era in personalized medicine, one where technology makes healthcare more efficient, accessible, and equitable. For Medtronic, the future is distinctly digital.
As as well as the robotic-assisted surgery platform, these technologies include a Bluetooth-enabled pacemaker accompanied by an app, named a top innovation by Cleveland Clinic; a deep brain stimulation (DBS) system; and a hybrid closed loop system for Type 1 diabetes.
“Some of the greatest advances in medical technology are unfolding right now at Medtronic," says Geoff Martha, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Medtronic.
