Diageo launches Value Chain Inclusion & Diversity Framework

Diageo believes inclusive and diverse culture makes for a better business and a better world, so the company champions inclusion and diversity not only in its own business, but also in its entire value chain, to celebrate diversity and help shape a tolerant society.

In line with this vision, Diageo has launched its Value Chain Inclusion & Diversity Framework. As part of its Society 2030 plan, Diageo is committing to doubling its global spend with diverse owned and operated businesses by 2025.

The company is also ensuring that inclusion and diversity is embedded in its value chain as it works closely with suppliers and agencies to advance positive, sustainable economic impact in the diverse communities where it sources.

Furthering impact of Supplier Diversity programme

Both within Diageo's own business and across its value chain, the company views diversity in the broadest possible sense.

Diageo considers Diverse Suppliers as those that are at least 51% owned and operated by an individual or group that is part of a traditionally underrepresented group: Women, LGTBIQIA+, Disabled, Veteran, Ethnic minorities or any other Minority. 

Diageo will further expand the impact of its Supplier Diversity programme by asking suppliers to utilise diverse owned and operated suppliers in their own supply chains.

Bringing diversity of thought and experience to collective businesses 

Diageo aims to inspire suppliers and agencies to drive even greater diversity in their organisations, bringing diversity of thought and experience to the collective businesses. Diageo champions equal employee representation with its suppliers, which leads to change across the industry, and ensures economic empowerment of diverse groups.
