Joanna Alexander is appointed EBRD Director of Investigations

The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) has appointed Joanna Alexander as Director of Investigations. In her new role, Joanna will manage the Office of the Chief Compliance Officer (OCCO) Investigations team and report to Bernd Träxler, MD, Chief Compliance Officer.

An experienced ethics and investigation leader

Joanna is an experienced ethics and investigation leader with an extensive history of working in humanitarian and development sector, donor sector and across government both nationally and internationally.

She has strong professional skills in anti-corruption and counter fraud investigations, ethics, internal investigations, employee relations, sexual exploitation, security management, intelligence analysis, risk management and money laundering.

Formerly, Joanna held leadership roles with the International Rescue Committee, the National Crime Agency, and Department for International Development.

Joanna holds a Bachelor's degree in Psychology from De Montfort University and a Master's degree in Criminology from the University of Leicester.
