Bringing Diageo's employer brand and employee value proposition to life

According to Emma, "Talent Engagement (TE) is the global function that attracts, assesses and selects external & internal talent that is the best for Diageo to help deliver our performance ambition. TE’s ambition is to be world-class recruiting function focused on engaging, attracting and hiring the very best and most diverse talent for Diageo. TE brings our employer brand and employee value proposition to life by expressing our purpose, values and ambitions by connecting talent with what makes our culture special."

Key tips when applying for jobs

Emma offers three key careers tips when considering applying for jobs:

  • Research the role and company you are applying to and ask any questions that you have – remember interviews are a two-way street
  • Be straight-forward when answering your interview questions – during an interview you will have a limited time to present yourself so use it in a smart way
  • Always be yourself, everyone else is already taken

Refining employment skills

Discussing Diageo's Learning for Life programme, Emma says: “Volunteering with Diageo’s Learning for Life programme it is a rewarding experience. I support people with interview and CV preparation, and refining employment skills to help individuals with future opportunities. It’s fantastic to see the impact you can have and it’s an amazing opportunity to help shape the future.”

Diversity of thought and experience fuels growth and innovation at Diageo and brings the company closer to its consumer base. Diageo views diversity in the broadest possible sense, including gender, ethnicity, age, sexuality, social class, education, experience, ways of thinking, and more.
