Taking action on gender equality

Diageo Human Resources Director, Ednah Otieno, discussed how to take action on gender equality during a panel at The Times Top 50 Employers for Women 2022 event.
"Realising gender equality means we need to match ambition with action – shaping policies and cultural norms so that all of our colleagues can thrive at work,” Ednah explained.

At the event, Business in the Community (BITC) celebrated employers who prioritised gender equality in the workplace.
Despite the ongoing challenges presented by the COVID-19 pandemic and the cost of living crisis, The Times Top 50 list shows that employers are acting in ways that are driving progress towards gender equality. The list recognises and celebrates those employers making progress gender equality via successful strategy, policies and culture.
