Building thriving communities

WSP's belief is that, for societies to thrive, everyone must hold themselves accountable for tomorrow.

WSP's Global ESG Statement states that the company will give back to the communities where it lives and works, with time and resources.

Great places, for life

On a business front, WSP launched a global initiative called Great Places, for Life, which provides a clear direction to planning communities that are ready for the future.

WSP's collaborative and holistic approach is based on six principles:

  • Access and resilience: WSP plans places that are prepared for shocks and stresses, to provide everyone with the foundations of health.

  • Belonging and inclusiveness: Being part of a community isn’t just about living in the same place.

  • Economic and cultural prosperity: WSP believes that the best foundation for success is to build on what’s already there.

  • Balance with nature: Human health is inextricably linked with the health of the planet.

  • Active, connected communities: WSP teams embed social, physical and digital connectivity to broaden horizons whilst boosting mobility, health and cohesion.

  • Listening and sharing what we’ve learned: Health creation is a collaborative endeavour.
