DXC Technology (DXC) strives to make the world a better place through its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives focusing on colleagues, customers and communities.
One such initiative is an ongoing partnership with Bhumi, one of India's largest volunteer organizations for supplementary youth education. Employee volunteers take part in various initiatives like the Youth Empowerment program, as well as audiobook recording and coding sessions, all of which make a positive change to people's lives.
Nurturing youth talent in India
Bhumi as a platform supports over 12,000 volunteers in more than 12 cities across India for causes such as education, environment, animals and community welfare.
Bhumi was founded by a group of friends, who believed that every underprivileged child deserves quality education. Since then, Bhumi has transformed this conviction into a volunteering opportunity for India’s youth, launching a snowball effect of nurturing talent on the path to an educated, poverty-free India.
Collaborating with companies to drive change
Bhumi believes in the power of collaboration for the greater good, and it drives partnerships with companies to create powerful collective action to transform India.
These partnerships are built upon principles and values, a shared vision and shared goals placing people and the planet at the center.
Bhumi partners with companies like DXC in their CSR initiatives through:
- Education programs in schools, slum communities, orphanages, and shelter homes
- Scholarships for children and youth
- Employee volunteering for various causes
