A career with Capgemini offers employees the opportunity to follow an existing passion or cultivate new ones. Employees can develop their career in the direction they want to take it while transforming the world’s leading businesses and building a more sustainable, inclusive future.

Capgemini's Junior Delivery Manager, Ellie Mills, sahres some insight into her apprenticeship journey with the company, sharing how she is establishing herself and learning new skills, such as Process Implementation.

Succeeding in her apprenticeship journey

Ellie is studying for a degree as a Chartered Manager with Aston University. Her Apprenticeship journey with Capgemini began with her 11 month role as a Service Analyst. In this role Ellie gained a solid understanding of the HMRC estate and how Live Service operates. She supported both the project governance and service governance teams, allowing her to understand the principles of project and service management. Ellie redesigned and delivered the Service Management Framework Sharepoint site to better suit user needs and improve the overall site experience.

Ellie also co-delivered a continuous improvement process for the Central Delivery Operations team using Power Automate and other programs from the Power Platform suite to reduce the need for manual input. This process was then scaled up and introduced to the entire Service area to improve efficiency and innovation on the account.

Ellie then went on to work as a Business Operations Analyst for 10 months, seeing her take part in completing a Business Management Degree Apprenticeship with Capgemini in Telford, UK, and on assignment as a Business Operations Analyst. She then began working as a Junior Delivery Manager while completing her Business Management Degree Apprenticeship and on assignment as a Project Management Office (PMO) Analyst.

"I've managed to establish myself in a globally respected IT company, with a huge range of clients and projects for me to get involved with," says Ellie.

Furthering qualifications with a Capgemini Apprenticeship Programme

Capgemini's Apprenticeship Programmes are a fantastic way to further qualifications, develop technical and business skills, learn from some of the best and work with some fantastic likeminded people. The company has many Apprenticeship Programmes that range from Digital and Technology Degree Apprenticeships to Cyber Security Higher Apprenticeships and Finance Apprenticeships.

Capgemini's apprenticeship recruitment process is 3-steps:

  • Applications reviewed on a first come, first served basis
  • Submit an application as soon as possible
  • Capgemini keeps applicants updated at every stage of the process

Capgemini wishes for applicants to show and tell the company what they want to see and hear. Capgemini doesn't hire replica individuals, so it wants all applicants to be themselves. The company highlights that applicants are not competing against anyone else, in fact all applicants will need to work together to be successful on the day.
