WSP UK hosted a Royal Academy of Engineering Graduate Engineering Engagement Program (GEEP) event at its Birmingham office with the Windsor Fellowship.
"The programme aims to increase the transition of engineering graduates from diverse backgrounds into engineering employment," shares WSP.
Building a sustainable society and inclusive economy

The Royal Academy of Engineering has an overarching goal for 2025 is to harness the power of engineering to build a sustainable society and an inclusive economy that works for everyone.
It says: "One of the practical ways in which we are working to make engineering more inclusive is through our Graduate Engineering Engagement Programme (GEEP). This is our award-winning programme run in partnership with engineering employers, which aims to increase the transition of engineering graduates from diverse backgrounds into engineering employment."
Over the last six years, more than 1,000 students from over 66 universities have taken part in the program. Of the students involved in GEEP, 28 per cent are women and over 90 per cent are from Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic backgrounds. Since 2015, the GEEP has resulted in at least 250 engineering employment opportunities including internships, graduate placements, and jobs.
Supporting and developing diverse young talent

Meanwhile, the Windsor Fellowship is a charity that designs and delivers innovative educational and leadership programs that develop the diverse young talent within the UK society.
"Our vision is for a society where the talents of all people truly shine. A society where there are no barriers to success based on race, religion, or background and where everyone can thrive at work, in their communities and as citizens," says the Windsor Fellowship.
