John Deere's Maxime Beck hit the ground running after graduation

 May 02, 2023

Meet John Deere Logistics Analyst Maxime Beck.

Maxime hit the ground running right after graduation. She took the plunge and worked with her team to get a new John Deere logistics center in Zweibrücken up and running in less than 12 months. Zweibrücken is a town in Rhineland-Palatinate, inGermany on the Schwarzbach River.

Maxime's role included the design, tendering and SAP connection of the entire facility, where all components for the production of combines and forage harvesters are stored.

Her favorite project was working on Europe's first AutoStore system at John Deere. The fully automated small-parts store is built like a cube, with eight robots doing their job. The system takes up 75 percent less space and requires only as much electricity as a vacuum cleaner.

When asked how it feels to commission the logistics center, Maxime said: "After all the time we spent planning, it's great to see how everything is coming together in practice."

"I'm always impressed by how work is now faster, easier and more efficient for all of us. My favorite part of this in particular is the AutoStore system. Here, employees have a bright and spacious workspace, and the automation means that hardly any mistakes happen," explained Maxime.

"We’re delighted with our young talents and digitization projects. Congratulations, Maxime!," said John Deere
