DXC Technology in India values its partnership with the Samarthanam Trust, underpinned by a focus on supporting the needs of persons with disabilities.
As part of the collaboration, some of DXC Technology's efforts have included workshops, testing camps, and the distribution of 489 digital devices and 870 non-digital devices across seven states in India.
Empowering people with disabilities
The Samarthanam Trust for the Disabled is a national award-winning non-government organizations (NGO) established in the year 1997 by Founder Managing Trustee, Mahantesh G Kivadasannavar, and his schoolmate and childhood friend, the late Sugur Paramashivaiah Nagesh.
The Samarthanam Trust is one of the biggest NGOs in India. It supports the education and livelihood needs of persons with disabilities and those from underprivileged backgrounds.
The Trust works for the empowerment of persons with disabilities and the underserved through its diverse initiatives focused on providing quality education, accommodation, nutritious food, vocational training, and placement based rehabilitation. The Trust facilitates opportunities to enable persons with disabilities and the underserved to keep pace with the rest of the society.
The organization facilitates direct livelihood opportunities to hundreds of persons with disabilities and women in distress through its Social Enterprises.
The Cricket Association for the Blind in India (CABI), the cricketing arm of the Samarthanam Trust, fosters the game of blind cricket and the visually impaired players across India.
