F5 enable and secure network infrastructures, from the data center to the cloud, to deliver business applications — and enterprising ideas. F5er’s think big and come together to tackle complex issues with innovative solutions.

On International Women in Engineering Day (INWED), we learn a little more about why women at F5 love their jobs with this feisty, global tech company at the very forefront of the apps market.

Cathy’s extensive knowledge of technology spans four decades

Senior technical training developer Cathy Rodriguez works out of F5’s Seattle office and has been working in IT “pretty much since dirt was new!” Cathy has touched nearly every corner of the industry in her 40-year career and she’s currently developing and delivering technical training for F5 networks across Seattle and Washington.

Although most of her students tend to be men, Cathy remains hopeful that more women will enter — and remain in — this challenging, fulfilling and lucrative line of work.

Amina loves her rewarding engineering role with F5

Network support engineer, Amina Mubeen, provides technical support to F5’s customers from her base in Chertsey, UK. Amina is a rebel at heart with a free spirit and plenty of ambition which is welcomed and encouraged at F5.

“The job doesn't dictate the role I play rather it allows me to define the role myself and I'm proud to be working for F5,” comments Amina.

Jen’s leadership keeps technical projects on track

Java developer, Jen Oshiro, delivers technical leadership for F5 projects from her base in Seattle.

“My software development experience and interpersonal skills ensure precision and collaboration during the implementation of projects,” comments Jen.

Gowri works with F5 customers from around the world

From the Singapore office, network support engineer Gowri loves her role working with customers around the globe and answering F5 hardware and software related questions.

“I feel a great sense of satisfaction and achievement working alongside my support team members; sharing knowledge and learning from them freely.”
