Caterpillar is named a top 100 brands for 17th year

Caterpillar has, for the 17th year in a row, made the top 100 in the 2018 Interbrand rankings.

With a ranking of #82 and an overall brand value of US$ 5.73 billion, Caterpillar is also listed as one of the top 10 growing brands with an 18 percent increase for the year. The annual report, according to Interbrand, analyzes how brands help grow businesses - from delivering on customer expectations to driving economic value.  

Measuring the brand value

The company rankings are based on three key components.

The primary measurement is the financial performance of the branded products and services, the other two components are in relation to the role the brand plays in influencing customer choice and the strength the brand has to command a premium price or secure earnings for the company.
