Exyte employees support KidsOut Giving Tree campaign

 December 10, 2019

Exyte Hargreaves employees have shown their generosity by participating in the Giving Tree campaign, organised by charity KidsOut.

Supporting young victims of domestic violence

Starting in 2014 with just 63 companies taking part, the Giving Tree has grown to over 750 participants. The initiative invites companies like Exyte to ‘Ditch Secret Santa’ and buy toys for children in local refuge homes instead.

Many of the recipients are children who have escaped domestic violence, being forced to flee their homes quickly and leave their possessions behind. Without Giving Tree, these children may not otherwise receive a gift at Christmas.

Businesses, schools, and organisations can take part by turning their Christmas tree into a special KidsOut Giving Tree. In the lead up to Christmas, decorative tags with a child’s name, age, and suggested gift are placed on the tree, with participants being invited to take a tag and buy the present for GBP 5 - 10. KidsOut then arranges the collection of the gifts to distribute to children in local refuges.
