QBE Europe has announced the appointment of Tania Bensoussan-Arthur, who will take on the role of Marine, Art & Values Director.
Tania will work under the direction of Tim Pembroke, Marine Underwriting Director QBE Europe, with her mission being to build and deploy the offer in France, then in continental Europe.
Other tasks will include overseeing the definition of the commercial strategy of the offer in these territories and the support of customers and managing underwriting teams in Europe.
Excellent leadership caliber
"Deploying a Marine, Art & Values offering in France is an exciting challenge for our company and I am delighted to have someone of Tania's caliber on board to help build the portfolio. QBE has extensive experience in this field and has supported international clients for decades. We are therefore impatient to use this expertise to develop this segment in continental Europe," commented Tim Pembroke.
Extensive expertise in insurance
Tania has a master's degree in Insurance and International Trade from Paris 13 University and is a specialist in the Transport branch. With 25 years' experience, she began her insurance career in 1997, joining SIACI as a broker specialising in freight transport insurance.
In 2004, Tania joined XL in France. During her 16 years with the insurer, she successively held the positions of Transport Underwriter, Director of the Transport Department, then Specialty Director (Art, Values and Transport). Finally, following the takeover by Axa in 2019, Tania took over as head of the Cargo France branch for more than a year.
At the start of 2021, she became Director of Cargo Business Development at Filhet Allard Maritime. Tania joined QBE France later in 2021 to develop the Marine, Art and Values branch of the insurer in France, then in continental Europe.
Speaking about her appointment, Tania said, “I am delighted to join QBE to develop this new branch. This will allow us to expand our offers and to better meet the needs of our customers in Europe. Indeed, as a privileged partner of companies, QBE had to be able to support its clients in their Marine, Art & values insurance issues."
