Women at Eaton Poland share stories with female students

Recently, the team at Eaton Poland welcomed 12 female students from the Technical University of Gdansk in their plant in Tczew, where they manufacture components for the automotive industry. The Tczew site specializes in the production of transmission gears for the manufacturers of trucks and buses as well as grade vent valves.

Female Engineers at Eaton Tczew Campus

Inspiring the next generation of women engineers

The team comprised a mix of HR and female engineering leaders shared their experiences as engineers at Eaton, as well as many aspects of their life stories with the students. They were able to answer key questions from the students about life as a female engineer, and continue to inspire them to follow and fulfill their career paths.

This was followed by a site tour as well as a training workshop on Insights Discovery methodology which aims at helping people to understand their style, strengths and values as well as those of others. It uses an interesting four-color model and through the understanding of individual management styles, self-awareness is raised and individuals are better able to understand the expectations of others.

It was the first time Eaton had provided such training during an Open Day and it was a hugely successful event; both students and Eaton staff learnt a lot from each other on the day and five participants were selected for Eaton internships.
