Sophie Grugier is the Senior Vice President of Human Resources for Schneider Electric’s Global Supply Chain based in Schneider Electric’s headquarters in the Paris region.

An exciting career at Schneider Electric
After joining the company in 1990 as an Industrial Manager, Sophie developed her skills and experiences in various roles and plants. In 2004, she was promoted to the role of Plant Manager. In 2008, she joined the Global Supply Chain’s Human Resources team as Vice President of Human Resources for the Global Purchasing function. Two years ago, Sophie was promoted to Senior Vice President, Human Resources for Schneider Electric’s Global Supply Chain.
An important role in Schneider Electric's Supply Chain
As Senior Vice President of Schneider Electric's HR, Sophie is responsible for over 50,000 supply chain professionals. These employees work in the company’s business units, supply chain regions and central functions. Sophie and her team work to guarantee the best working conditions for Schneider Electric’s Global Supply Chain employees. They give support to the employees so that they can effectively carry out operations for Schneider Electric as well as allow central teams to provide an outsider's perspective to their specific aims for world class performance. Sophie's work.focuses on people development, on attracting best Schneider Electric talents, and on leading or supporting change management programs.
Inspiring women in engineering
Sophie's drive and passion has a wider impact beyond Schneider Electric. Sophie has hosted talks to French students from different educational backgrounds to encourage women to study engineering. Sophie has also presented and shared her personal experience as a woman in engineering at a conference which was attended by several companies and Muriel Pénicaud, French Minister of Labor. Sophie was also the closing keynote speaker at Society of Women Engineer's WE Local Europe in Prague
"The added value that I champion is guiding, challenging, supporting and providing sense/visibility to individuals and organisations. I believe the more we focus on the ‘why’ and ‘how’, then the ‘what’ should come by consequence and be sustainable," says Sophie.
