Women working at BD are being recognised for their contributions through prestigious industry awards.

Congratulations are in store for Elizabeth Woody, BD VP, Public Affairs, and Ami Simunovich, BD SVP and Chief Regulatory Officer, who have both received special accolades for their work.

Elizabeth was honored as a 2019 Luminary and Ami was honored as a Rising Star at The Healthcare Businesswomen’s Association's Woman of the Year (WOTY) event in New York City.

Luminaries are role models through their careers

The HBA Luminary award was introduced in 2014 as part of the HBA’s 25th anniversary of the WOTY initiative.

Elizabeth is named among 45 senior women, identified by their Corporate Partner companies, who serve as a role model in their company, actively mentor and sponsor others, help advance other women’s careers, and exhibit dedication to the healthcare industry.

Elizabeth and the other luminary leaders have more than 20 years’ of professional industry experience.

Being named a Rising Star in the medical sector

Meanwhile, as an HBA Rising Star, Ami is one of a list of exemplary professionals to have been nominated by HBA’s corporate partners.
