Northrop Grumman ranks highly on Disability Equality Index

Northrop Grumman Corporation has received the highest ranking for the fifth year in a row on the Disability Equality Index (DEI) ®, and is named a Best Place to Work for Disability Inclusion. The award recognizes the company for its exemplary policies, strategies and initiatives that have resulted in measurable outcomes in disability inclusiveness in the workplace.

Running disability inclusion programs to be proud of

The DEI measures disability inclusion in corporate America. The index considers a variety of key performance indicators across organizational culture, leadership, accessibility, employment, community engagement, support services and supplier diversity. 

This marks the fifth consecutive year Northrop Grumman has earned a 100 per cent score on the DEI for outstanding commitment and leading disability inclusion practices. In the 2018 ranking, the company was recognized as the Employer of the Year: Inspire Award for top employer in advancing its disability inclusion journey and strategies.

Northrop Grumman was also ranked 17th on DiversityInc’s annual list for the Top 50 Companies for Diversity. The company has earned a Top 50 ranking for the last ten years from DiversityInc and has been ranked No. 1 for veterans, No. 1 for people with disabilities, No. 5 for its employee resource group program, No. 7 for executive diversity councils, No. 8 for philanthropy, and No. 12 for its efforts in talent acquisition.
